Important collection of 19 photographs, a wide variety depicting the history of the Hebrew settlement in the Land of Israel, most from the first half of the 20th century.
In the photographs: David Ben-Gurion with Mr. Leibowitz and his wife from New York; group photograph of the three leaders of the Jewish Agency: Dr. Goldman, Brodinsky and Louis Lipsky [1946]; various Sephardic leaders; photograph by Leo Kahan - apple transport in Jaffa; the kitchen of a restaurant in the Mizrachi Girls' school by the Haddassah Restaurant Fund - Haifa 1936; Chaim Weitzmann; three photographs depicting Yemenite Jews; Yerushalmim in traditional dress in the streets of the old city of Jerusalem; various photographs of Hebrew laborers working the Land; two large photographs of Jews in an old age home in Jerusalem; large photograph of an elderly Jewish couple in traditional dress in Jaffa, drying swamps, and more. Some of the photographs are captioned and dated on the back.
Average size: 13x18 cm, some are larger or smaller. Some are pasted to the photographer's stiff board. Very fine condition.
