Shiviti with the “Lamnatzeich” Shaped like a Menorah. Jerusalem, 1940s
Shiviti with the “Lamnatzeich” in the shape of a menorah. Ink on parchment in a scribal hand with floral decorations. Jerusalem, 1940s-50s. 37×43 cm. “Lamnatzeich” (Psalms, chapter 67) shaped like a Menorah, as customary by kabalists and oriental communities. Colored floral designs. Written by scribe, Shimon Binyomin and donated by Mordechai ben Chaim Tuashi, in memory of his father. Light folds in the parchment, some letters are faded. Moderate-fine condition.
