Letter of Recommendation Handwritten by Rabbi Yehoshua Greenwald, Av Beit Din of Ungvar and Chust. Thursday of the Portion of Bereishit, 1934
'The precious young man Shalom Rosenberg of ... resided in my study hall in Ungvar and attended all the study sessions. He is capable of understanding Gemara and adjudicative literature, and he was examined by me and responded to the questions correctly. And if he is diligent in his study, he will certainly reach his goal.' Chust, Thursday of the portion of Bereishit, 1934.

Condition: Very fine. Fold marks.
Rabbi Yehoshua Greenwald 1909-1969 was the Arugot HaBosem's grandson. He served as Av Beit Din in Ungvar and was the last rabbi of Chust. He was son-in-law of the holy Rabbi Yechezkel Panet of Dej.
