Europe and the Land of Israel - [Ex-Libris]
Collection of 37 Jewish bookplates of renowned personalities and Jewish institutions, designed by the best Jewish artisans, Europe and the Land of Israel - 20th century. Most of these bookplates have characteristic Jewish motifs.
Among the bookplates: Professor Boris Schatz's personal bookplate designed for him by Ephraim Moshe Lilien, bookplate designed by Ephraim Moshe Lilien, minister Dov Yosef's bookplate (governor of Jerusalem during the siege) - Jerusalem view hinting at the besieged Jerusalem designed by Lotte Berold, author Shmuel Eidelman's private bookplate, large bookplate specially designed by the Torah V'Avodah movement 1953, Rabbi Avraham Chaim's bookplate [1854-1944] with a picture of the great synagogue in Sighet (Hungary) where he served as rabbi, and more. Some of the bookplates are from engravings. (Including three large bookplates with impressive graphics, apparently not Jewish.)
