Sefer Pri MePri V'Sefer Nechpah BaKessef Part II, responsa and novellae by Rabbi Yonah Navon, the Chid"a's teacher. First edition, printed by the author's grandson, the gaon and Kabbalist Rabbi Binyamin Mordechai Navon, ra'ava"d of Jerusalem. Printed by Rabbi Yisrael Beck, Jerusalem, 1843. One of the first sefarim printed in Jerusalem.

This was the personal copy owned by the renowned rabbi of Jerusalem, the gaon Rabbi Shmuel Salant. The title page displays [3] of his owner's stamps, in different styles, including the stamp that resembles his signature, because, as was well-known, Rabbi Shmuel Salant was blind in his final years, and would sign his official letters using this stamp.

The sefer was brought to print by the author's grandson, the gaon and Kabbalist Rabbi Binyamin Mordechai Navon, ra'ava"d of Jerusalem with a lengthy foreword by him. The first part was printed in the author's lifetime, about a hundred years before this part. The reason Part II was printed so much later was that the work Pri M'Pri includes resolutions for several difficulties presented by the Or HaChaim in his Sefer Pri Toar, on the words of the Pri Chadash. The Or HaChaim's warning to those who criticize him regarding halachah is well-known. Indeed, there were those who disagreed with the Or HaChaim, but hesitated to print their ideas. As a result, it was only after many, many years that this sefer was published.

Signed dedication on the title page in Oriental script handwritten by the author's grandson, Kabbalist Rabbi Binyamin Mordechai Navon, as follows: 'Gifted to Rabbi Shmuel ... dayan of the Ashkenazic community in the Holy City of Jerusalem, Binyamin Mordechai Navon, S"T.'
