Zohar Livorno. Large and Impressive Leather-Bound Set [Three Volumes]. Signatures
Sefer HaZohar with the Mikdash Melech Hadrat Melech commentary along with many supplements. Livorno, 1858-1859. Complete set, five parts in three volumes. Large, impressive copies placed in leather-covered wooden bindings. Beautiful edition of Sefer HaZohar HaKadosh. Impressive complete copies with all the leaves of the supplements as well as beautiful margins.
Owner's signature: Yosef Abitbul - moreh tzeddek and dayan in Marrakesh in the early 1840s. He served in Rabbi David Sabat [I]'s beit din with Rabbis Elazar Chazzan, Shalom Cohen and Massoud Mucha ztz"l. He was the first to sign on a psak din with the gaon Rabbi Massoud ben Mucha and Rabbi Yosef Raphael Charush. He was the father of Rabbi Shlomo Abitbul [II], author of the moving hymn "Yaffah v'tammah Torah ..." ["יָפָה וְתַמָּה תּוֹרָה תְּמִימָה הַנְּעִימָה - מִי יוּכַל לְהַעְמִיק בְּסוֹדֵךְ סוֹד אֱלֹהִים חַיִּים"] (Refer to Arzei HaLevanon 872-873.)

High-quality paper. 28 cm. Bound in three antique leather bindings, with remnants of metal buckle closures.
Overall fine condition. Aging stains. Slight tears in the margins of several leaves. Blemishes in the bindings.
