Sefer Mateh Aharon Part I - Talmudic rules arranged alphabetically by Rabbi Aharon HaLevi of Yerushalayim. Salonika, Betzalel Ashkenazi Press, 1819, First and only edition. Known only by a facsimile copy. 

This is the personal copy that belonged to the wondrous gaon Rabbi Yerucham Fischel Perla, author of Hagahot HaGri"p - one of the gedolim of his generation. Many of his [faded] owner's stamps appear at the beginning and end of the volume. Two handwritten glosses appear in his penmanship on leaves in the sefer. The Gri"p Perla was known to adorn his sefarim with glosses, many of which were printed over the years in Hagahot HaGri"p (His glosses are on: Pesikta Zutra, Shu"t HaRashb"a, Shu"t HaRashba"sh, on Sefer Tashbe"tz, Noda BiYehudah, Ketzot HaChoshen and more.) 

After Rabbi Perla's passing, the renowned gaon Rabbi Mendel Kasher purchased his library from his family for a large fortune. The gaon Rabbi Mendel Kasher also stamped his owner's stamp on this volume, such that this important and rare Mateh Aharon here bears the owners' stamps of two of the leading geonim of Poland.
