Beautiful and lengthy self-dedication at the top of the title page from Rabbi Ya'akov Shalom Sofer, cleverly integrated with the name of the sefer, in which he writes that he received the sefer from the author: "Received [as a gift?] from the rabbi, gaon and tzaddik, the author of this precious sefer Shirei Maskil, [signature].
