Large collection of handwritten letters from the elder Admo"r, Rabbi Yochanan Sofer of Erlau, direct male descendant of the Chatam Sofer. The letters were sent to the gaon Rabbi Ya'akov Yosef Singer, rabbi of Givat Shmuel. 1960s-90s

* Lengthy letter on [4] large pages handwritten and signed by the Admo"r - Torah novellae. 1961.

* Letter "instead of a hetter hora'ah" handwritten and signed by the Admo"r for Rabbi Ya'akov Yosef. The Admo"r writes that he took upon himself not to grant Yoreh Yoreh certificates, but he is confident that when Rabbi Ya'akov Yosef is asked questions, he will rule "Yoreh Yoreh Yadin Yadin as the Torah requires ..." 1961.
