Beautiful and lengthy family letter discussing the most personal of topics. Entirely handwritten and signed by the gaon Rabbi Abba Chiya Hirsch, av beit din of Sered, primary disciple of the Chatam Sofer. Sent to his beloved mechutan, Rabbi Azriel HaLevi Tauber of Szerdahely. Sered, 1885. Rabbi Abba Chiya mentions in his letter, inter alia, the gaon Rabbi Zalman Shpitzer of Vienna, the Chatam Sofer's son-in-law.
