An Invitation to the Adopted Son of Rabbi Moshe Aharon Freund with an Addition in His Handwriting
An invitation to the wedding of the adopted son of Rabbi Moshe Aryeh Freund - the young man Menachem Mendel, with a moving addition in the handwriting and with the signature of Rabbi Moshe Aryeh Freund on the back of the invitation - Elul 1991.
On the back of the invitation he added warm words: 'And it would be a pleasure and an honor for us for his honor to appear, and we will rejoice with the bounty of God, and I wish you joy in your dwelling place...'. And his handwritten signature Moshe Aryeh Freund'.
Rabbi Moshe Aryeh Freund: [1904-1996]: Born in Hungary to Rabbi Yisrael Freund, rabbi of the city of Huedin. He served for a short time as Rabbi of the city of Satmar. Lost his wife and ten sons in the Holocaust. Immigrated to the Land of Israel where he was appointed as rosh yeshiva of the 'Yitav Lev' yeshiva of the Satmar chassidut in Jerusalem. He married twice after the Holocaust but did not have any children. Therefore, he adopted Menachem Mendel. In 1989 he was appointed as Gavad of the Eida Chareidit following the death of the "Minchat Yitzchak", Rabbi Yitzchak Yaacov Weiss.
