Letter in the handwriting and with the signature of Rabbi Baruch Hager of Seret-Vizhnitz. Dated: 4 Nissan 1952.
The Admor Rabbi Baruch Hager [1895-1963], the 'Mekor Baruch,' son of Rabbi Yisrael, author of the Ahavat Yisrael, the first Admor of the Seret-Vizhnitz chassidut. Rabbinically ordained by Rabbi Meir Arik in 1923, appointed rabbi in Maramures and in Kitzman in 1928. Beginning in 1936, he served as rabbi in Seret and served as the last rabbi in Bukevina, right before its Jewish residents were expelled to the Ukraine during the Holocaust. After the Holocaust, he moved to Palestine in 1947 and established a neighborhood for his Chassidut in Haifa. Member of Agudat Yisrael's Council of Torah Sages.
