Collection of Some of Sifrei HaLevushim, Early Editions C. 17th Century

Two volumes with the fundamental commentary on the four parts of Shulchan Aruch by the mighty gaon Rabbi Mordechai Jaffe, known throughout the generations by the name of his sefer, as the Ba'al HaLevushim. Two parts, early editions that complete each other. Prague, 1609-1610 - Venice, 1620.

The complete work includes 10 sefarim - Asarah Levushei Malchut on the four parts of the Tur, Rash"i's commentary on the Torah, Moreh Nevuchim by the Ramba"m, and more. This sefer earned much admiration among scholars, and it was reprinted many times already in the 17th century in various cities across Europe: Lublin, Krakow, Prague and Venice.

The Venice 1620 edition, most of which appears here, was printed under the close supervision of one of the leading sages of Italy - the gaon Rabbi Yehudah Aryeh of Modena.
