Sefer Ben Shmuel - thirty derashot for special Shabbats, holidays and celebrations, by Rabbi Shmuel di Medinah - the Maharashda"m. With a preface by the author's grandson, and two poems. Mantua, 1622. First edition. This book of his derashot is rare.

Copy that previously belonged to the Admo"r Rabbi Nachum Berenyu of Sadigura. Two types of his famous stamps appear on the title page: "Nachum DovBer Friedman" and "Kinyan Kaspi." The sefer is bound in a magnificent antique leather binding, which can be assumed to have been custom made for the sacred Admo"r, who was known as an aficionado of important sefarim.

Refer to the Hebrew catalog text for brief biographies of the author, Rabbi Shmuel di Medinah, and the owner of this sefer, the Admo"r Rabbi Menachem Nachum Dov of Sadigura, as well as a short discussion of the Admo"r of Sadigura's library.
