Yoreh Yadin from Rabbi Azriel Hildesheimer, Av Beit Din of Berlin, to his Disciple, Rabbi Nathan Ehrenfeld, Rabbi of Prague

"Conduct precisely according to the Shulchan Aruch and the sacred customs" - unique letter of rabbinic ordination

Beautiful ktav semichah, entirely handwritten by the great gaon Rabbi Azriel Hildesheimer, rabbi of Eisenstadt and head of the rabbinical seminary in Berlin, for his primary disciple, Rabbi Nathan Ehrenfeld, rabbi of Prague.

In this ktav semichah, Rabbi Hildesheimer writes tremendous praise about his great disciple, who was later given the position of rabbi of the ancient community of Prague, where he prevented catastrophes in traditional Jewish education and other issues, in line with G-d-fearing Jewish tradition, as indeed foretold by Rabbi Hildesheimer, who writes the praises of his great disciple emphasizing his ceaseless occupation with Torah in his youth at the yeshivah, "expert in Torah and pure yirat Hashem ... and his reverence preceded his wisdom ... And in his conduct precisely according to the Shulchan Aruch and the sacred customs ... to study for its own sake, to preserve and to fulfil ... "

He even added, "I am confident that he will put up fences to prevent catastrophes and raise and establish the banner of Torah and reverence, as it is his heart's desire ... to spread Torah and yirat Hashem.
