Interesting hint at the beginning of the letter about Rabbi Yitzchak's attempt to be accepted into the Cologne rabbinate "Despite the fact I am unsure whether they would select a young man like me ..." After the signature at the end of the letter is a short addition handwritten and signed by Rabbi Simchah Una, Rabbi Yitzchak's father.
