Interesting Letter from the Gaon Rabbi Baruch Epstein, Author of 'Torah Temimah'

Family letter handwritten and signed by the renowned gaon Rabbi Baruch HaLevi Epstein, known by the title of his sefer, as the 'Ba'al HaTorah Temimah, ' with a reference to the arrangement of his famous work, Torah Temimah. Pinsk, 1900. Letters from the 'Torah Temimah' are rare.

Lengthy family letter, in which the Torah Temimah blesses his relative with many lofty rabbinic honorifics. This relative was apparently a member of the distinguished Epstein family whose sons served as rabbis throughout the Diaspora - on the occasion of his appointment to serve as av beit din in an "ancient and exalted community."

The "Torah Temimah" invites this relative to his daughter's wedding, scheduled to take place soon in Pinsk, mentioning by name some well-known members of the rabbinic family to be counted among the guests. The Torah Temimah mentions his Sefer Torah Temimah al Sefer Bereishit in the margins of this letter.

Refer to the Hebrew catalog text for a brief biography of the gaon Rabbi Baruch HaLevi Epstein.
