Sefer Tikkun HaLaylah V'Tikkun HaYom. Sabbatean Work. Especially Rare

Sefer Tikkun HaLaylah V'Tikkun HaYom, daily study by faithful Jews in Izmir and across the Diaspora. Salonika, 1801. Sabbatean book.

Sabbatean tikkun, edited by Natan HaAzati. Including some Psalms and other biblical chapters, Talmudic passages, Pirkei Avot and Kabbalistic prayers.

On the title page: It is a major segulah, and due to its great importance, it is hard-to-find, even one in a city or two in a family.

There is no hint in this book that it is a Sabbatean work. Apparently the printer hid this fact. It is also possible that he printed many sifrei kodesh and was unaware that this particular work is Sabbatean. There are even bibliographers who erred in this.

Especially rare book. Most Sabbatean works are not still extant.

There is no complete copy in the National Library. Ginzei Yisrael-Osef Mehlman no. 566 - where part of the book is lacking. Otzar HaSefer HaIvri, Salonika, 508, where it lists 59 leaf.

To the best of our knowledge, this book has never been offered at auction.

66 leaf, 12.5 cm.

Moderate condition. Worming perforations. Simple new binding.
