Yessod Yosef, Kabbalah. Frankfurt am Oder, 1679. Rare First Edition. Signature

Sefer Yessod Yosef, Kabbalistic tikkun keri by Kabbalist Rabbi Yosef bar Shlomo Klapera of Poznań, disciple of Mahara"m Popirash. Frankfurt am Oder, 1679. Important fundamental sefer, rare first edition. Ginzei Yisrael 1017.

This is the first sefer entirely dedicated to the topic of tikkun hayessod and it is cited in many mussar and Chassidic works. Leading poskim as well, such as the author of Chayyei Adam and the author of Kitzur Shulchan Aruch, cite rectifications for said transgression according to this sefer. The sacred author writes in his sefer that he copied the text of the prayer 'Brich Shmeih' precisely from a leaf in the Zohar that belonged to his teacher, Mahara"m Papiro"sh. He then related what he received from him as a segulah - to recite the 'Brich Shmeih' prayer during the removal of the Torah scroll from the aron kodesh.

Refer to the Hebrew catalog text for a brief biography of the author, Rabbi Yosef b"r Shlomo Klaperah.

[15] leaf, 19 cm. Lacking the final leaf (not from the body of the work) with words from the one who brought it to print and an index for the sefer. Owner's signature in the title page: Binyamin, known as Wolf, son of the deceased Rabbi Moshe Nathan, ztz"l ...
