V'Cherev Pipiyot - Rare Kabbalah Sefer. With Asterisks like in the Noam Elimelech Printed at the Same Press

Sefer V'Cherev Pipiyot, Kabbalistic commentary on the 248 words in kriyat shema including the works: 'Ketem Paz' on the Tetragrammaton and 'Glilei Zahav' on the 72-letter Name, by Kabbalist Rabbi Yeshayah HaLevi, a leading sage at the kloiz in Brod. Lvov, at the distinguished press run by Rabbi Shlomo Yarish Rapoport, 1787. First edition. Lacking the title page.

About a year after this Kabbalistic work was printed, the same press run by Rabbi Shlomo Yarish printed the first print of the sacred work Noam Elimelech - the most important and renowned segulah sefer. Chassidic tradition maintains that the workers at this press were among the 36 hidden tzaddikim of the generation. The Chakova Rebbe, the Divrei Moshe, is said to have stated that it was "printed by G-d-fearing laborers who were occupied with the printing in sanctity and purity, and some of whom were among the hidden 36 upon whom the existence of the world relies." (HaRebbe R' Elimelech MiLizhensk, Jerusalem, 1963, p. 311).

Along the entire length of this sefer, just as along the entire length of the first edition of Noam Elimelech, which, as mentioned, was printed by the same printers, there are occasionally asterisks (*) marked without any obvious reason. Chassidic leaders hold that there are deep and hidden intentions in these asterisks. It is said that when Rabbi Yeshayah of Kerestir would reach the asterisks in his study of Noam Eliemelech, he would sing "zugt her azoi"[This is what he said!] in a special tune. Researcher R' Chaim Lieberman writes about the asterisks (Ohel Rache"l Part I, New York 1980, p. 63): "Polish Chassidim called this edition "Noam Elimelech im Kochavim" and it is very important to them, as they attributed secrets and hints in these asterisks ... and it is also told that the first printers and typesetters were among the 36 tzaddikim ..."
