The words of the song and notes for a piano by Aaron Luboshitzki, adapted for piano by P. Skokovski. Title page and text in Russian and Hebrew. Title page text in bue, with illustration of Rachel's Tomb, the Western Wall and stars of David. Artist's signature in the margins of the border: י.צ. טבטשניק.
Aaron Luboshitzki [1874-1942] was apparently the first poet to write and publish songs and poems for children in Hebrew. The artist, Yehuda Zvi Tabachnik- Tavori was an architect in Odessa. In 1919, he immigrated to Tel Aviv where he designed many homes in his unique style, influenced by Oriental and Jewish motifs. He was an artist and studied art for a short period of time in Bezalel.
Very fine condition. Rare. Not listed by the Bibliography of the Hebrew Book.
