Singular Copy: Handwritten Riddle by the Admo"r Rabbi Shlomke of Bobov
Special, personal letter from the Admo"r Rabbi Shlomo Halberstam of Bobov, to his daughter Esther Shaindel, wife of Rabbi Baruch Avraham Horowitz, rosh yeshivah of Bobov.
The letter was sent when the Rebbe took a break from his public service. The Rebbe, who was known to be deeply devoted to his Chassidim and to his institutions, knew well how to appreciate this: "Praise be Hashem, we are well, and enjoying the rest that is very precious to us ..." The Rebbe blesses her "May Hashem help us see much nachat and joy, and may you always be happy and blessed with all goodness. A fatherly blessing, from he who seeks your well-being with tremendous love ..."
The Admo"r, who, as stated, was on vacation at the time, used the opportunity to prepare a rhyming riddle [!!] for his daughter.
"I have affectionately included a little riddle for you:
Listen to my words to understand what I tell you
Ascend to the top of the ladder and this is the sign, take it in your hand
Put it there, in the thing that is in front of you
And take a stone from the depths of the river, and join this together with it, and see with your eyes
The Master of the World who dwells in secrecy appearing opposite you"
