Complete set of the four parts of the Tur with the most important commentary on the Tur - 'Beit Yosef, ' by Maran Rabbeinu Yosef Karo. The set is made up of early editions all printed c. late 1500s, some in the author's lifetime. Over one hundred glosses appear along the leaves. The provenance of these sefarim is the renowned rabbinic Bamberger family; apparently some of the glosses are written by members of this family.

Moderate condition. Old mold stain in the upper margins in the first half of the volume. Many usage marks and aging stains. Small reniforced gluing, occasionally on the letters in the titles.

* Yoreh Deah. Copy with parts integrated from the Venice 1574 edition and the Krakow 1614 edition. The Venice edition was printed in the author's lifetime!

Leaf details: The first ten leaves are from the Krakow edition; leaves 14-399 are from the Venice edition; leaves 299-300 are from the Krakow edition. The body of the work is complete. Indices: Leaves [7-19] are from the Venice edition, the last [2] leaves are from the Krakow edition. Lacking several leaves.

Poor-moderate condition. Mold stain in the upper margins in the first half of the volume. Many usage marks and aging stains. Several leaves have borderline page cuts, sometimes with damage to the titles and the margins of the text. Several leaves are bound in the wrong places. Several tears with lack in the title page and in another few pages.

The four parts are bound in matching semi-leather bindings with imprints, from the 19th century. The bindings are slightly chafed.
