Tractate Berachot. Constantinople, 1802. Especially Rare Sefer
Masechet Berachot "Exactly leaf by leaf, with beautiful letters, ink and paper ... and with many good features." Constantinople, Chaim Eliyah Pardo Press. 1802.
Especially rare Tractate Berachot printed on its own, not as part of a set of Sha"s.
The printer, Chaim Eliyahu Pardo, was occupied with printing from 1799-1808, for a total of only six sefarim. Refer to Ya'ari, HaDfus HaIvri B'Kushta pp. 53-54. In the colophon [Hebrew]: "Production by ... the young man, Yitzchak Pardo, son of the printer, arranged by ... the young man, Avraham HaLevi .... the young man, Nathan Uziel."
Especially rare sefer, listed in Mif'al HaBibliographiah according to a copy in the Benayahu collection. Refer to Ya'ari, HaDfus HaIvri B'Kushta no. 480 where it notes a copy in the Jewish Theological Seminary in New York. The National Library does not have a complete copy, only single leaves.
Lacking leaves 5-6 and part of leaf 50.
32 cm.
Moderate condition. Tears with lack in the white margins of the title page and the last leaf, without damage to the text. Light tears in the margins of several leaves. Aging stains. Simple binding.
