Sefer HaKuzari, Copy that Belonged to Kabbalist Rabbi Eliezer Nachman Puah, Disciple of the Ram"a of Pano. Signatures and Glosses
Sefer HaKuzari - one of the most important books of Jewish outlook of all time, with the 'Kol Yehudah' commentary by Rabbi Yehudah Muscato. Venice, 1594. Personal copy that belonged to the gaon Rabbi Eliezer Nachman Puah, a leading Italian Kabbalist and primary disciple and confidante of the Ram"a of Pano.

Rabbi Eliezer Nachman Puah's handwritten signature is displayed on the title page. He signs - as was his way- using the abbreviation: Ern"n. As the Chid"a wrote in Shem Gedolim (in the entry: Rabbi Eliezer Nachman Puah), this is how he would sign, using the first and last letters of his name: Eliezer Nachman (he also titled one of his books with a similar name: Garan Erana"n). Underneath Rabbi Eliezer Nachman Puah's signature, another signature is displayed - that of his son, Rabbi Yechiel Nachman Puah - a disciple of the Rama"z. Along the entire length of the book, on the sheets of the leaves, there are many lengthy glosses. Like the signatures, the glosses are also in Oriental script from the period of the printing.

Refer to the Hebrew catalog text for a brief biography of the renowned Kabbalist, Rabbi Eliezer Nachman Puah.
