Kedushat Yom Tov. Novellae by Rabbi Yom Tov Algazi [Mahari"t Algazi]. Bak press, Jerusalem, [1843]. First edition. One of the first books printed in Jerusalem. Inscribed by Rabbi Shalom Moshe Chai [Smach] Gagin.
[2], 92 leaves. 29.5 cm. The book was published by Rishon L'tzion Rabbi Avraham Chaim Gagin. The title page is inscribed by Rabbi Shalom Moshe Chai Gagin [Rabbi Smach Gagin], son of the publisher Rabbi Avraham Chaim Gagin, a Jerusalem sage [1833-1883]. He was a Rosh Yeshiva of the Beit E-l Kabalist Yeshiva and author of "Shu"t Yismach Lev", "Smach Nefesh", "Smach Libi", and more. The book was presented to Rabbi Meir Auerbach, the inscription is slightly cropped.
New binding. The title and following leaf are blemished Worming holes at the end of the book. Aging stains. Moderate condition. Sh. Halevi, Sifrei Yerushalayim HaRishonim, 14.
