Itzhak Pressburger was born in Pressburg in 1933. He survived the Holocaust and immigrated to Palestine. He studied art and was a student of Marcel Janco. He moved to France where he studied at the National School of Fine Arts in Paris. In Paris, he became religiously observant and returned to Israel in 1979.
