Ze'ev Raban - Original Painting for an Advertising Poster - Exodus from Egypt

Original watercolor painting on especially large paper for an advertising poster made by the renowned Bezalel artist Ze'ev Raban, one of the greatest Hebrew artists in the Land of Israel. C. 1925.
At that same time, Raban was at the height of his artistic prowess; he was considered the most sought-after designer in the Land of Israel.
This painting is certainly one of Raban's most impressive.
This stunning picture of the exodus from Egypt appears in Raban's illustrated haggadah (never published), painted in 1925. Refer to the photograph in Ze'ev Raban - Hebrew Symbolist, p. 108, which also bears a photographed image of this poster.
About one third of the painting's original size remains. It was restored by an artist with such precision that it is almost impossible to tell.
Maximum size of the original painting: 28.5x53 cm. Maximum size including the restoration: 48.5x62 cm.
