Letter from Rabbi Pinchas Epstein
Letter written and signed by Rabbi Pinchas Epstein, dated 1964.
The letter was sent to his friend, Rabbi Yisrael Porat, rabbi in Cleveland. Rabbi Epstein describes different illnesses that attacked him and diagnoses that he received from doctors. He apologizes to Rabbi Porat, "Forgive me for paining his honor, but it says "yisachena l'acheirim" [he should talk it over with others]..." He also includes a note about a preacher in Cleveland who stopped sermonizing in public and more.
[1] aerogram. Signed in the body of the letter, and on the outside by the sender's name.
Rabbi Pinchas Epstein [d. 17th of Tevet, 1970] was the Rav"d of the Eidah HaChareidit in Jerusalem. He served as dayan in the beit din of the Eidah HaCharedit during the era of Rabbi Yosef Chaim Sonnenfeld and Rabbi Yitzchak Yeruchem Diskin.
