In the book's pages are many handwritten glosses. The writer divided the book Simla Chadasha into sections for daily study on a thirty day cycle, as several Rabbis insrtucted, to review the rulings of the Simla Chadasha once every thirty days. Among the book's leaves is also a leaf of Torah novaelle on the topic of ritual slaughter and bedikot. Stephansky Chassidut 259.
