Decrees from the study society "Anshei Ma'amad" which was founded by Rabbi Yosef Shaul HaLevi Nathansohn author of Shoel U'Meishiv. After his death, the Rabbi of Lvov Rabbi Zvi Hirsch Orenstein [author of Yeshuot Yaakov] took responsibility for the upholding of the decreses. He signed on the decrees of the author of the Shoel U'Meishiv and encouraged the members of the group to continue to uphold them. 
The booklet before us is the first time that the group's decrees, which were passed on by word of mouth between the members of the group, were printed. 
The purpose of the group was to protect the Jewish people in the merit of their learning just as the Tamid offering provided protection during the time of the Temple. Before us are severe decrees which obligate the members of this group. "To establish ten G-d fearing people, great Torah scholars who have not had a bad reputation since their childhood and who establish that that their home is the house of G-d day and night in great diligence...". There are also decrees which obligate the members of the Ma'amad to teach any Jew who happens to come to their study hall whatever he desires, decrees of communal improvement of the holy society, and more.  Rare.
