The haggada opens with poems regarding spring and the bringing of the Omer, followed by passages referring to the Holocaust: "Through the tracks of servitude and the inquisition and destruction and riots, the nation carries within its heart the longing for freedom...if our hand is unable to save those taken to death, the survivors are at least responsible for the remnants of Israel..." It also mentions the history of the kibbutz: "Passover night, 1946, this is the 11th year on our land in Kibbutz Afikim...this Seder night is the 21st for our group - from the day that it became a Shomer HaTzair kibbutz from the Soviet Union, which dispersed until it was concentrated in Afikim...". Features changes to the Chad Gadya hymn and more.
