Spice box for Havdalah in the shape of a fish. Silver. The Netherlands, Beginning of the 20th Century.
140 cm long. 20 cm wide.
Made of cut and carved silver. The body of the fish is made of ‘mail coat’ of scales. Its head opens to insert the spices and has the original clasp. The gemstones embedded in the dish’s eyes are missing. Light signs of denting. Overall in very fine condition.
