Jerusalem 1906. Author's inscription, and lengthy handwritten comments.

On the leaf in front of the title page is a printed label in which the author writes that he is giving this book as a gift, and includes in his handwriting the name of the recipient: Shalom Gabbai (?)
After the title page the author printed an interesting statement in which he announces:”…the gentiles under whom we live in our times are G-d-fearing and in awe of His Torah…”
Rabbi Masoud HaCohen Elhadad (1820 - 1927) was born in Morocco and immigrated with his parents to Jerusalem. He was the head of the kabbalistic yeshiva “Beit El” and died at the age of 107.
The binding is damaged and slightly fallen apart. Edges of several leaves are folded and cut. Brown paper. Moderate condition.
