Protection against Fever and Plague. [Safed, 1910-20]
Tried-and-true protection against fever and plague, to be hung in front of a window or in front of the entrance. Received from Rabbeinu Eliezer of Garmaiza Ba'al HaTosafot and from Rabbeinu Eliyahu Be"Sh. Brought to press by R' Shabtai Reizel of Safed, grandson of the pious Rabbi Naftali Katz.
Large leaf with various prayers. Large Kabbalistic illustration at center and a sketch of a palm, with the holy Names.
The only printing house that operated in the early 20th century in Safed, HaGalil Press, opened its doors in 1912 and the first of its dated publications is from 1913. Thus, this 'protection' leaf was printed c. 1913-1920.
25X35 cm. Fine-very fine condition. Adhesions to the upper part of the leaf.
