8 colored cloth Mishloach Manos bags with colored printed images from Megillat Esther. HaChevrah L'maan Eretz Yisrael. Palestine, 1920s.
[8] colored cloth bags, 12x18.5 cm.
These cloth bags were exported as an advertisement for Palestinian-made items, on behalf of the Chevrah L'maan Eretz Yisrael that operated in Palestine in the 1920s to promote industry in the country. The bags are in different colors with colored print. One side features an image from Megillat Esther and artistic decorations. The second side features the text: משלוח מנות מארץ ישראל ע"י חברה למען ארץ ישראל and "Made in Palestine."
All are in very fine condition with original drawstrings.
