Blessing for a "Quick Recovery" Handwritten by the Rebbe on the Day of the Rayya"tz's Yahrzeit

Letter of rare importance from the Admo"r Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson of Lubavitch, to Rabbi Tzvi and his wife, Tziviah. Brooklyn, NY, on the evening following the Rayya'tz's yahrzeit, 11 Shevat, 1966.

The tremendous uniqueness of the letter is expressed in all three of its components. First, the date of the letter. In the Rebbe's words: "And we have just come from the 10th day of Shevat, the yahrtzeit of my father-in-law, the Admo"r ztzkllh"h, ob"m, may his memory protect us, when he was memorialized at his grave site."

Second, the content of the letter - written on the Admo"rim of Lubavitch's official stationery, and signed by the Rebbe. He declares that the connection between a Rebbe and his followers does not cease when he has passed away; it continues on, and with even greater vigor, as the Rebbe states: "Heroes of Israel, protectors of the land, even when their souls return to their Father in Heaven ... not only will they not part from their flocks, they continue to bow before Hashem to demand the mercy and lovingkindness of a father to his son"! (This is no small matter; it is an official and binding document! As majesty works in the world below, so it works in the world above.)

And finally, the important blessings handwritten by the Rebbe himself, blessings that are always necessary, all the more vigorously in our times: "A quick recovery for each and every person. M. Schneerson."

[1] leaf paper, approximately 22x28 cm. Official stationery, typewritten, with the addition of [12] words in the Rebbe's hand and with his signature.

Very fine condition: Fold marks, minimal aging stains.
