Letter of guidance and chizzuk from the Admor of Radzin, Rabbi Shmuel Shlomo Leiner
Lengthy, detailed letter sent by Rabbi Shmuel Shlomo Leiner to his followers. It contains instructions regarding prayer, designating time for Torah study, a person's purpose in this world, and necessary "hishtadlut" regarding providing for one's physical needs. It was sent to his chassidim who had settled in Tel Aviv. Radzin, [1936].
[1] letterhead. 21x27 cm. In the margins, the Admor wrote a blessing in his hand, and added his signature.
The Admor of Radzin was born in 1909 to Rabbi Mordechai Yosef Eliezer. He was the son-in-law of Rabbi Yosef of Amshinov. At the age of 20, he was appointed Admor. He established the "Sod Yesharim" network of yeshivot that operated throughout Poland under his personal supervision. During the Holocaust, he operated against the Nazis and dedicated himself to bringing Jewish victims to a proper burial. He was killed in an agonizing, brutal manner before his community, while steadfastly reciting the Shema.
This important letter was copied in Torat Hachassidut by Yitzchak Alfasi.
Fold marks. Reinforcing tape. Stains. Moderate condition.
