Glosses in the Handwriting of the 'Rogatchover' Gaon
Glosses in the handwriting of Rabbi Yosef Rosin, Av Beit Din of Dvinsk 'The Rogatchover' on the Mishna Torah of the Rambam, Sefer HaMada, Warsaw, 1881.
Long learned glosses, in the handwriting of the Gaon of Rogachev. In a number of places he refers to novaelle that he wrote in other places.
The comments are in the well-known style of the Rogatchover, similar to those printed in his book Tzofnath Paneach, however these glosses were never printed.
Rabbi Yosef Rosin (1858-1936) was born in Rogachev by whose name he is known, and was the Rabbi of the city of Dvinsk. He was known for his tremendous genius and his unrivaled phenomenal  memory. He wrote Torah novaelle in short comments. Before the Second World War his daughter succeeded, through very great efforts, to photocopy his manuscripts and to send them to America. Rabbi Menachem Mendel Kasher later published some of his Torah thoughts which were photocopied.
Before us are comments on Maimonides which as far as we know were never printed. Fine condition.
