Large Collection of Fascinating Yerushalmi Documents from the Estate of Mordechai Buxbaum. National Assembly, Prominent Personalities and more. 1923-1959

Fascinating documents about Agudat Yisrael and the National Assembly; receipts and documents related to the many donations he gave to institutions in Jerusalem, and many more documents. Including many letters that he received from prominent activists in Jerusalem, including Naftali Porush, Dov Sokolovski, Dov Yosef ...

Mordechai Buxbaum (1898-1959) was a Chareidi jurist and public figure. He was one of the assistants of Béla Kun, a Communist leader who served for a short time as leader of Hungary. Later he studied with his uncle Rabbi Yehoshua Buxbaum in Galanta. He immigrated to the Land of Israel, settling in the Old City of Jerusalem and was close to leading rabbis and public figures, including Rabbi Yosef Chaim Sonnenfeld, Rabbi Yosef Tzvi Dushinsky, and Dr. Moshe Wallach, as well as non-Jewish city dignitaries. He served as the legal counsel for Agudat Yisrael and for the deputy mayor of Jerusalem. His son Rabbi Yosef founded Machon Yerushalayim.

The collection has not been thoroughly examined and is being sold as is.
