Shulchan Aruch with Be'er Heitev First Edition. Amsterdam, 1749-1754. Three Volumes.
Before us is the first edition of the renowned halachic commentary Be'er Heitev on Shulchan Aruch Ohr HaChaim, printed this day in all editions of the Shulchan Aruch. The 'Be'er Heitev' commentary is a unique phenomenon unknown in any other case. Three different authors composed commentaries with the identical name, each on a different part of the Shulchan Aruch. These commentaries were accepted throughout the Diaspora and are printed to this day in all editions of the Shulchan Aruch as one continuous commentary called "Be'er Heitev" despite their actually being three totally different books. (Refer to : Zechor L'Avraham, 1992, pp. 112 onward.)
