Tibetan Yab Yum Polychrome Bronze Deity
Circa 17th to 18th Century Tibetan bronze statue with two deities together in an interpretation of wisdom and compassion. Bronze gilt with polychrome paint. They hold a bell and vajra in their hands depicting duality.
"The male figure represents compassion and skillful means, while the female partner represents insight. In yab-yum the female is seated on the male’s lap."
