Long Handwritten Letter of Chiddushei Torah by Rabbi Chaim Tzuker, Av Beis Din of Beregszász. 1934
The present letter is replete with chiddushei Torah, manifesting the astounding brilliance and wisdom of Rabbi Chaim Tzuker, grandson of the Kol Aryeh and Av Beis Din of Beregszász. The letter is addressed to Rabbi Yosef Hakohein Schwartz, Author of Vayelaket Yosef and dayan of Bonyhad, and contains many comments and queries on his previous works Vayitzbar Yosef and Ginzei Yosef.
Rabbi Chaim Tzuker Hy"d (1885-1944) was the son and successor of Rabbi Eliezer Tzuker, Av Beis Din of Beregszász and son-in-law of the Kol Aryeh. He was a tremendous Torah scholar, proficient in all aspects of Torah and succeeded his father’s position in Beregszász in 1932. Rabbi Chaim Tzuker authored Tal Chaim on Torah and Shu”t Chelkas Chaim. He perished in the fires of the Holocaust al kiddush Hashem.
