Tosefta Seder Teharot surrounded by “Zer Zahav, ” the Gra’s commentary on Tosefta Teharot, arranged by Rabbi Meir Mashad, his disciple.
He writes in his introduction: “….and I haven’t moved from the tent of Torah from the home of Rabbeinu…the true Gaon, the famed chassid… Eliyahu of Vilna…who quenched my thirst when I learned Seder Mishnayot Teharot with him, with all the Tosefta of the seder…”
The Gra’s sons write in their introduction to the Gra on Yonah (Vilna 1800) that Rabbi Meir printed this work without receiving permission from the beit din in Vilna, according to the psak they received.
The book opens with approbations from Rabbi Mordechai Bennet, Rabbi Zvi Hirsch of Zamotsch, author of Tiferet Zvi and other rabbis.
