Mafteach HaYam, most of the sefer discusses the significance of the number seven in the Torah, tefillah and words of Chazal, and the "Sha'ar Sheva Chochmos" regarding construction, music and more by Rav Yaakov Meir Koblentz.
The author, Rav Yaakov Meir Koblentz Segal, was blind, apparently from the age of 14. In his introduction, he writes a detailed biography, genealogy, his course of study and how he wrote this work.
The title page features an illustration alluding to the sefer's title.
