Rabbi Machlouf Abuchatzeira av”d Marrakech (1894-1980) was a prominent Moroccan rabbi of his time. He was the son of Rabbi Eliyahu, son of Rabbi Aharon, son of the Abir Yaakov. In his youth, he learned “b’chavrusa” with his cousin, the Baba Sali. He served as rabbi in a number of Moroccan communities and then immigrated to Eretz Israel. He was a Torah genius and prominent posek whose responsa were printed in the
Shu”t Yafeh Sha’ah. (Refer to
