Chassidus. Sheeris Yisrael. Zhitomir, 5628 [1867]. Segula Sefer.
Sheeris Yisrael. By the tzaddik of ווילדניק. Second edition. Included in this edition are 21 hanhagos (manners of behavior) and warnings by the author. These were most probably copied from his handwriting: "These are the things which a person should do and thereby live; which I received from the words of our Rabbonim, since they are a great tikkun..."
Sefer Sheeris Yisrael, contains three title pages: Hitkashrus Latzadikim (connecting oneself with tzaddikim); Divrei Torah al Moadey Yisrael (Divrey Torah for the holidays) and Inyeney Teshuvah- which were discoursed during the time-period of the Shovavim. By the Admor, the miracle worker, Rav Dov Ber of ווילדניק. This sefer is considered a segula sefer.
Rav Dov Ber of Vildenik [5549-5610], the close disciple of Rav Mordechai of Chernobyl. He was renowned as a miracle worker and the Tzemach Tzedek Admor of Lubavitch would send Jews in need of salvation - to him. His kever is known as a place for prayer and salvation. Even during the Soviet Empire in Russia, many would travel there, making great efforts to do so, to receive bracha and yeshua. Currently, many travel to daven at his kever.
