На первом плане монастырского комплекса, с южной стороны от собора изображена маленькая церковь чудотворца Нила ”на вратех”. Новгородский чудотворец Нил был пострижеником Крыпецкого монастыря. В конце 20-х годов XVI века он основал обитель на Столбном острове озера Селигер, где подвизался до конца жизни. Нилова пустынь стала одним из самых больших и почитаемых русских монастырей.
