Letters and Photos, Including a Request for the Rescue of a Jewish Family in Poland
Below are the items in the Lot:
- A letter in Hebrew to the Jewish Agency in Jerusalem. The writer tells about his brother-in-law, Zvi Hirsch, who lives in Warswa, Poland, "a family of 4 people", that includes Hirsch, his wife and their daughters Ruth and Mira. There is a list with the names of the family members, along with their dates of birth.
- Another letter in Hebrew with similar content, addressed to a private person in Jerusalem (Yitzhak Greenbaum). Ends with the sentence "I hope you will do everything possible to save them".
- A letter in Yiddish (we did not check the content).
- A letter in Hebrew from Zvi Hirsch addressed to a friend, in which he tells about himself and his family members (especially about his daughter Ruth). Among other things, he apologizes for the many spelling errors, since he has not written Hebrew for a long time.
- Letter in Polish, 1937. Content not checked.
- Two family photos, one (1934) of the mother and the older daughter, the other (1935) of both parents and the daughter.
