Jerusalem Slumbering Town, eleven wood cuts by Jacob Steinhardt, eleven Hebrew poems by Sh. Shalom.
Published by Dr. H. Loewenstein, Tel Aviv, 1937.
Steinhardt (1887-1968) was a painter and artist and is considered the person who brought German Expressionism and the woodcut technique to Israel. Shalom (1904-1990) was, among other things, a poet, writer and playwright, and winner of the Israel Poetry Prize.
Hebrew, 23X18 cm. Good overall condition with light wear.
